There is a sense of depression, or at least anxiety, for those with Transverse Myelitis who develop NMO. But a recent paper available for download seems to suggest a successful remission rate for treatment somewhere between 75-85%. Does this offer any hope for treatment of Transverse Myelitis on its own? Big question yet to be answered - at this stage we don't know...
This is a technical paper, with rather small numbers as yet, but if you are searching for answers (aren't we all?), this may be worth bringing to the attention of your neurologist.
