Haiku reflections on 'Time and 'Upstart'

Time

Writing good haiku
Can give great satisfaction
It takes time to learn

Time erodes mountains
Turns glaciers to water
Changes hearts and minds

Life so full of care
We've no time to stop and stare
Rivers full of stars

Together so long
Time changed our shape, skin and hair
But not hearts and minds

Upstart

Humble origins
Deep in the bowels of Earth
Upstart volcano

Self-made millionaire
Proving he's not an upstart
Driving an old Ford

Queen of hive fading
Now which little upstart bee
Wants to take over
