Haiku on Fresh/ Nerve/ Story/ Loss

Fresh

Fresh clouds darken sky
The birds have become silent
Its going to rain

Fresh faced young women
No sign of any makeup
Whales can swim in peace

Fresh clouds darken sky
The birds have become silent
Its going to rain

Old memories fade
Weight of emotion lifted
Clear fresh thoughts expand

Nerve

A small nerve twitched once
Just underneath his right eye
A dead giveaway

First night nerve faltered
Suggested getting some sleep
And trying later

Think I've lost my nerve
I know I put it somewhere
Too frightened to look

Story

Millions of people

Never have their story told
Just the infamous

Who tells the story
Of those whose lives are cut short
By war and famine

Make your mark in life
Educate your grandchildren
Oral history

Loss

The loss hit him hard
Directly over his heart
He carried the bruise

His loss was her gain
Court settlements are not fair
But then nor is life

The loss of Ukraine
Back to the Russian Big Bear
Inevitable
